Take Back Your Exterior Paint
Exterior Painting on your home can make or break the curb appeal.
Half of the battle in selling a home or making your neighbors jealous is making sure that your paint matches the gutters.
This doesn’t mean that if your gutters are white that the home should be painted white, this means that the color chosen should at least be a color that exemplifies either the house, the gutters or the roof.
Having a roof that is your standard grey could be made more prominent by choosing a darker house color.
The same could be said if you want the exterior paint to accent the gutters.
DFW Homes are very typical in their exterior colors and come across very bland.
White house with white gutters and a grey roof are the norm. Let’s break the mold of our DFW neighbors and “kick it up a notch”
The roof is grey and we will have to live with it for now, but let’s think.
Our gutters need replacing and the paint on our home is dirt stained and losing its luster.
It’s about time to choose colors that reflect you, after all variety is the spice of life. Imagine walking down your street and looking around at all the houses in your neighborhood. What are the first words that come to mind? I will tell you. Cookie cutter. We are creative and this is our home… not just the interior, but the exterior paint is our playground and we can do with it what we will. Some homes in DFW like to make a statement by painting the exterior of their home with a bright and “off the wall” color like pink or green. I myself do not find this to be appealing, but you need to remember that this is your home…. Time to paint the exterior of your house however you see fit!
Two pieces of advice I have for exterior paint is make it match and make it you!
